WHAT DREW ME TO EMPOWERMENT PHOTOGRAPHY?

To be honest I stumbled on Empowerment Photography doing a photoshoot with a model.

She had booked her annual creative portfolio session and this time her ride-or-die wanted in!

Her friend had seen a print in a gallery of a woman underwater and thought "Why would I buy a photo of someone else when I could be in the photo?" I am so thankful she had this thought.

And yes TOTALLY why not be in the photo?

These babes were unsure if it was a thing for "normal" girls to get in a photoshoot just to simply celebrate themselves so they asked me and it was a HELL YES from me.

It had never really crossed my mind to offer these types of shoots before or to even ask the question to babes of the world who would be keen to do one.

The outcome was epic!!

So anyway this got my brain ticking in overdrive!! why is this not a thing... is it a thing I don't know about!! how can we make this a thing!!!

There is boudoir, lingerie and personal photography but this is something completely different.

This is stylised, personal, epic photography for the modern woman.

These girls felt so empowered after this session and after seeing the pics they got one of the images framed

........so they were the girls in the picture frame!

Firstly you just have to jump in and decide to do it!! from there, it all falls into place. We book an available session and then we can share some inspirational shots of what speaks to you. We can shoot at the beach, at home, at an industrial location, waterfall - the options are unlimited.

If you have a specific idea for a session, let's make it happen! I'm there for all the creative ideas and for what speaks to your heart.

Then the fun begins!!

I have a treasure trove of outfits, accessories and ideas and I love seeing my babes blossom in the session... I live for this!

I love to help you style your shoot and gently guide you.

I think of it as dress-ups for big girls... I had the most epic dress-up chest when I was little so maybe that's got something to do with this passion of mine!
